If I’m in remote areas, the red. If I’m in more trafficked areas, the green.
Your tent is a safety system. Red hille all the way.
easier to spot in adverse conditions.
i can always try and hide where I put my tent but if I want to be seen, I’d like it to be known especially in a SHTF scenario.
Pink with purple polka dots! Make fashion statement while keeping other hunters at a safe distance.
Same. I prefer that other huters know im in the area. One for safety, two so they are less likely to step on my toes during my hunt.I like Red - mainly to deter other hunters, and easily facilitate spotting from the air for pickups, SAR if needed. And as mentioned it’s nice to see it coming back from a hard day
I know others who like earth tones and like to camp close to the game- specifically in sheep country high up so they think the bright color could spook the game.
I don’t think it matters to colorblind game!
I would disagree based on the type of hunting- Sheep in AK for example you put a red tent up on a visible ridge or out in the valley, it will discourage others from coming into that drainage. Or out by a landing strip etc others will know you are hunting that area without even landing. A brown tent tucked away you will have a ton of hunters walking on top of you.If I was worried about other hunters crowding in , I would pick the brown. If you want to stay visible from a distance so you can spot camp easier, go with red.
Valid point! You got me thinking now..I would disagree based on the type of hunting- Sheep in AK for example you put a red tent up on a visible ridge or out in the valley, it will discourage others from coming into that drainage.
