Seek 2.0 floor/liner system

Does anyone on here have any experience with the new floor/liner system on the Seek Outside 2.0s? It’s a really innovative solution to what are some of my biggest issues with a floorless tent (the biggest being my wife not liking floorless tents haha). My only concern is that it looks like it may be a pretty big process getting it setup with all the different cordage and attachments.


I’m really wanting to get a Cimarron or Twilight (will probably end up getting both so I have options) but I’m afraid the flooring system may be frustrating.

Has anyone set one up in the wild before?

Check to see if SO has a video on the setup of tent and floor/liner. They're usually pretty good about this. If not, ask if one the guys can do a quick phone video of the setup and email it you.

They do have a video of setup and that’s where my concern comes from. If it’s difficult for a guy who designed it to setup in a store, I can’t imagine it’ll be easier for me on the side of a mountain.

I was also looking just looking for general thoughts on the design and how it performs in the real world.

I’m in the process of testing out the 2.0 shelters and floors for a review.

Attaching the floor is super simple once the cord is threaded through the tension locks during the initial setup. I’ll provide some photos of how I’ve rigged them when I return from an upcoming trip.

The first time you set it up it can take a few extra minutes. I ended up tying and extra knot in the guy line at the head portion of it so I can orient it correctly every time. I’d say it takes me an extra 3-4 min now after setting it up a few times. I pitch the shelter 1st leaving the poles slightly shorter than I’ll end up with, makes it easy to get the floor under them. Then I lay it out the floor/under the poles and flip the line lock cords under the edge of the tarp and attach the inside toggles. Adjust the height of the poles then go out and tighten all the line locks for the shelter and attach the floor line locks to the stakes, tighten them and you’re done. Being able to guy the front up near the door has been great for drafts as well. I have the Twilight and I think the floor is a great addition for kids/wife. I don’t think I’ll take it when I go alone though.

Here is the set up video. After installing the first go round it is very easy to either install, take out, or even leave inside the shelter. The first time is just time consuming tying in the cordage.

Once you have it installed, the next time you take it out, you can just use the floor to set the footprint of the tent. Makes getting a good pitch on the tipi way easier.

Hey man thanks for the reply. I’ve learned a few new things about Seek Outside since I posted this and have decided to look into other options. I wouldn’t feel right sending money to an anti-gun company. I’m glad you like yours though.
