Well fellas....it’s been quite a morning! I just finished off my first Bloody Mary after stuffing myself with eggs Benedict for breakfast. Soooo good......
I reckon you wanna know about my thing! We exchanged our small gifts, and well...here’s how it went:
So for my hipster girlfriend, I got her a new bra, sized D with a note:
Dear Hipster Girlfriend:
I’ve been selfishly wanting a new thing and finally realized that my old thing is just fine and really not important. You are more important than anything and your happiness is the most important thing. I think you’re perfect, and you know this. If getting D boobies makes you happy, then that’s whats most important to me.
This is all my thing money and should be enough to cover the balance on what you owe to get your D boobies.
Merry Christmas!
So I opened my gift from her. It was a rifle sling and a note that read:
Dear Awesome Boyfriend:
I think I’ve been too hard on myself and not excepting all that I have. All I need is an awesome boyfriend who loves me for me, and you do! I want you to be the happiest awesome boyfriend ever, so I had the doctor return the deposit for my D boobies so you can get your new thing. I like myself just how I am!
Merry Christmas!
.......and there you have it fellas, the Rokslide version of “The Gift of the Magi”. If you’ve not read it, do so.
I’ll admit....I started this thread poking some fun at all the “I need things” threads. I reckon it took on its own life and I remembered the story of “The Gift of the Magi” the closer we got to Christmas.
Anyway, remember what’s important about Christmas.
It’s not the destination, it’s the journey. Live before the moment, not just “for” or “in” the moment.
Most of all, we have everything we need. We just have to know where to look.
Merry Christmas to all you rascals!
(and thanks for playing along!)
