Help Me Avoid the Mouse! (Disney World)

One of the countless reasons I adore my wife...she believes Disneyland to be Satan's playground, and would rather go hike somewhere with the kiddo strapped to her back for free.

Sounds like you're going to Disneyland amigo, and you didn't even get to win the Superbowl first 🤣

Disney is a perfect situation for travel hacking, credit card points, travel miles or anything to lessen the financial pain.
10x travel is a group that shares details on credit card travel. If you have good credit and your significant other will play along, you might be surprised how cheap it will be. A year to develop the plan and points is very helpful.

My wife and I met in the middle and did a Disney cruise. Still had my nose up to the idea. Went and had an absolute incredible time! It was just enough Disney to make the wife and kid happy but not overly Disney to make dad happy. Food was unreal and service was top notch! Highly recommend!

After putting it off for as long as I could, I finally got roped into it this past year.

My wife is a saint and did everything she could to minimize cost, wait times and inconvenience. While it wasn't my favorite, I can imagine had she not done these things it would be been way worse.

One of the biggest things was getting the passes that allow you to book rides ahead of time. I doubt we waited more than 10-15 minutes for anything there. I can carry a heavy pack all day, but standing around destroys my back. Without those, I'd have been done after day one.

But yeah, it's expensive and crowded. Go with your family, be in the moment, and enjoy the time you get to spend with them.

I've been over 30 times...me are the mouse are close. With that being said, it's not for everyone. My kids hated it, so the wife and I used to leave them home.

A nice trip to a national park sounds great, maybe agree to spend a couple of days, then go on an air boat tour in the Everglades...

My wife said she wanted to take our kids and I said absolutely not, but it took about 5 seconds to realize I was not going to win that battle. We went earlier this summer and it wasn’t too bad, but we only went for one day. It was a long day so that was enough. Kids enjoyed, wife enjoyed it and I thought it was meh but it’s crossed off the list.
