Help LS Wild design the new stock!

May add too much mill work, but consider doing scallops/insets on the butt, but not making it completely hollow. Say, leaving 1/4 inch of laminate web. Then, if people want to add weight, they can bolt them to this and you don't have two SKUs.

Other advantage is things can't get caught through it, such as brush. And, it will probably look better.

The added strength may let you thin out the material around the edges and be neutral on over all weight compared to a plain cutout.

If going full cutout, consider making the LOP fully adjustable. This would add complexity and cost, but fill a real need for youth/adult compatible stocks. The better way to do this might be as a post manufacturer modification. This is probably a pipe dream due to tooling costs.

Not enough room with having to skeletonize. LS mentioned that to me very early on. And then you have to have the special hardware made.
.......and would jack the price up violating one of your major goals of affordability. Keep it as simple and to the point as possible.

A guy could drill from top to bottom through the rear and drop in lead tubes, throw tape over top and call it a day. Sounds like lots of diy room w the base idea.

Sporterized benches stock….. no negative comb, no super tall butt pad, just plain wood, thin, parallel line benches stock slimmed down to something I can carry. Either a mini chassis for aics mags.
