Help LS Wild design the new stock!

Personally, I really like the Boyd’s spike camp. I know there have been some anti thumbhole comments on here, but when the hole gets a certain size I don’t think it matters as much.
Raise the comb a little, flatten the toe, and make the grip a little more vertical. Not your average thumb hole. Works fine for right and left handers. Could even add a second window in the butt.

So you want to make the Spike Camp into the Boyd's Quest? LOL

Interesting that this design hasn't been mentioned yet. It's a pretty reasonable weight, laminated, vertical grip. If the butt/comb were raised a bit, and the finger ridges on the grip eliminated, this would be pretty much exactly what I would want.

At this point maybe they should just do like a Boyd's Pro Varmint base - but with the forend narrowed and shortened and the buttstock being nothing but a 3" tall by 1.25" wide core of material with threaded studs on the top and bottom and back.

Then offer 3D printed adapters that allow users to set LOP, comb height and angle, toe angle, forend length, and so on, using those studs. Buy the base stock and then choose your adapters like interchangeable handgun grips. Offer every base stock with one option for each 3d printed module then sell others at hefty retail prices so guys that really wanted to experiment could order them one at a time. Shape the 3D printed comb right and you could even allow it to be mounted up top then the recoil pad be able to shift higher on the base-stock and have its top mounting screw go into a stud on the 3d printed comb module.

The modules would be lighter than the laminated wood itself, likely.

Like so:

This could be the base stock:

Then add modules:

I'm not a stock designer, so, yes, those are 5-minute efforts in MSpaint.

??
If they're going that modular, I'd rather just have them inlet a laminated blank and let me shape the rest.

sort of.... I dont think the comb is any higher on the quest. I wouldnt call that a flat toe, and hogging out more wood is the point of two windows, not making the thumb hole smaller.
the quest adds angles with no added benefit. the spike camp is a slight negative comb and the quest is flat.

This one is closer to the goal but still a swing and a miss.

Looks like the GRS suggests bedding, I suspect that’s something this project would benefit from too.

This thread seems like a mess. I’d rather have y’all just make a 1:1 copy of the master sporter/tikka sporter stock. I love how it shoots, it’s not too heavy, it looks awesome. They’re too hard to get. Literally just make the master sporter stock.

I like the original rendering you put up, add the MS grip. keep some of the rest like the bravo, raise the recoil pad above bore line & round off the fore end. i think it would be around 35-40oz & make a really good shooting stock.

This is one of the options I thought about to make it ambidextrous. I like the idea of it, with a big window it is pretty fast and easy.

Might make one eventually.

That is right where we are looking to land. Hopefully shave weight to get it as light as possible.

You think the avg shooter would like the MS grip? I had my wife hold a few different rifles last night, she picked the MS as most “comfortable”, she’s not a shooter though.

My thought is it’s hard not to like and if you want to offer something not widely available, it seems to be that anyway.

The MS grip is phenomenal.
