Help finalize the "Dixie Zipper" (Mini CBK) for a group buy

My vote is for (just) Neon Orange G10 Handles. I don't need my knife to look like a zombie shanker. If we are going with thin stock and a fairly svelte handle to cut weight, I personally would go for a handle on the thinner side as well.

Its a zombie skinner... lol The zombie shanker was next for develpment!

I like the idea of a thinner handle option. I'll add that in.

I love that aggressive texture, I usually prefer that. I’d also prefer a simple OD green handle!

Definitely going to have simple colored handles. OD green, orange, and black are what I am thinking.

I'm down for the micarta with liners. I prefer the feel and texture of micarta over g10.

The texture and feel is nice. What color micarta? natural, OD greenish, black?

I micarta or G10 are fine for me, neon green or orange .
I almost lost my AGK OD scaled knife several times breaking down elk and deer.
I then dyed it neon green

Here’s the first rendering of a “knapped” handle with some orange/green scales. I like the thicker plies.

I will have other designs coming with less aggressive texture on it.

AND I will have linen micarta with a double thick orange or green liner.

Handle options coming. Get your ideas and votes in.

I will have the handle not scalloped on the lanyard hole. If you want a shorter handle, you can grind/cut that part easily. That’s why it’s there like that.

Everything is on the table to get designed right.

I always used to use orange g10 because I thought it was the only thing you could get blaze orange in but g10 is rather heavy. I recently found a linen micarta in blaze orange that looks excellent and finishes great (pictured). Also, a knife with orange/od green for reference

I would love Micarta in that color. Most the Orange Micarta looks more like burlap which would get lost in a heartbeat.

Don’t want to hijack Dixie’s thread at all but here’s my take on the 3” belt knife. Got a lot of orders for these.

I’d probably be in for one of Dixie’s as well. It would be fun to have a collection of a lot of different maker’s belt knives.

I think tapering the handle to make it skinnier as it gets the the blade would be beneficial

I am going to work on that, it’s one of the tweaks.
