Anyone have any advice on how to get the middle of the vane to stick when using Bitz? Tried 3 different glues and Dudley's tip and have has zero success. Trying to use a Blazer Heat on a .263 outer diameter without a wrap.

Three things to try

Change the offset
Move the vane up further in the clamp
Cut the clamp above the second spring.

For my son's arrows I used the same vanes with wraps on .272 arrows and I fought them quite a bit too. I think they are just too stiff to take very much helical on small shafts. I'll be interested to here any tips anyone has also.

I'm trying moving the vane up right now, does anyone think 4 of the Heat Vanes at an offset would give me similar steering as a helical?

Cutting the top of the clamp off, about 1 1/2- 2 inches would be first
Setting the offset a little different would also help.
Also too stiff of a base wont make that heavy helical on a small shaft.
4 fletch off set will be a good option.

If it is just popping up away from arrow then above advice good. If it is adhesion after glue is dry then I lightly rub the arrow surface or wrap with 0000 steel wool. If the wrap is exceptionally oily then some alcohol or other solvent works. (not to harsh as wrap may melt)
