Professional archers shoot low draw weight......that's why. If you don't understand how and why a "heavier" arrow will fly better than its lighter counterpart than you should do some research. Arrows are projectiles just like a bullet.“Fly better”
Look, Im not trying to be the archery police here but please explain how a heavy arrow flies better.
Sounds like Ranch Fairy dust to me. Did you drink the Koolaid on very high FOC too? Grin
In reality, if heavy arrows did actually “fly better” then every pro would be doing it, they aren’t.
What pro wouldnt love to pick up a couple points on his score?
I will mention again imo a 500+g arrow is heavy. I think 700g is silly. Most people are shooting budget arrows without adding any weight to them or there broadheads. Cheaper budget arrows are typically low gpi vs your higher end hunting arrows. This puts the majority of shooters in the low 400g and I just don't PERSONALLY feel this is a great choice for hunting anything. Will it work YES will it work as good as a 500-600 no it won't IMO. I won't say my opinions are facts but arrow flight with more weight is better and that's a fact.
What draw weight are they pulling and how far are they shooting? The professional shooters I know aren't shooting arrows over 425 grain, outdoors.
Some shoot heavier indoor, but that is changing as well.
Depends on you discipline tho too some extent.

This makes perfect sense. I wouldn't ask my wife to shoot my arrows cause they are to heavy for her draw length and weight. A 420-450 fits her much better.57-62#'s usually. For field out to 80.
