Third the Fenix HM50R. And you can get a spare battery to carry if you think you need it. Or I planned to use the battery out of my flex tail zero pump if I needed it but never ended up burning through the first battery
Looking at the fenix and had this exact same thought as well on using the flextail battery. If you look hard enough, you can find cells with a larger capacity than both the flextail and the factory fenix cell. You may even be able to find cells that allow for power output as well for charging a phone.

I just had the opportunity to use a Fenix HM62T overnight on a SAR call and was very impressed by it. I will order another one and replace my current headlamps with it.

Well you just screwed up my plans. Looking at the run times of this is 4hrs@1200 12hrs @400 and 23hrs@130 weighing in at 4.4oz this vs the diamond 500 with 7Hr @500 and the 19hr@250 makes a tough choice but the Fenix does give you that 1200 LM option

This is not the first time I have screwed up someone's plans, but you will like the new plan.
