Headache with Costa sunglasses?

I haven't used costas, but I've had that happen for seemingly no reason with others. Sometimes it's just a particular type pressed down on my ears more than others, or my eyes just don't agree with the lenses.

I would upgrade to better sunglasses. Costa Del Mar and Maui Jims are my favorite brands.
That's what he has.

I've worn Costa daily for probably 15 years. 580g or 580p depending on use. Mostly amber base, but a couple of Grey base (one glass, one poly).

No headaches.

Another thing that could give the sensation (that I have experienced) is one pair I have that have fairly large 580g lenses, if I’m really active wearing them for a long day, the weight on the bridge of my nose caused discomfort and it took me a couple days to realize what the issue was.

The same glasses are great for long periods of time if I’m not running around.

I do think there is a good chance that it’s fit vs lenses causing problems

For working, I prefer a somewhat slim, light design with poly lenses for that reason, and don’t move around no matter what

Any glasses that squeeze too tightly against the sides of my head give me a headache, regardless of brand, I have an old pair of raybans I love, I had to file down the mating surfaces of the hinges to loosen up the fit on my head
I've stretched sunglasses by putting them on a large cantelope. When I went to take em off, my son had drawn a face on it.

I maybe would take them into the glasses store and see if they can check them over and see if they fit. Have you had your eyes checked recently?

I get a headache from the arms pressing down on my ears after a while. I don’t know if it’s the weight or the squeeze, but I find I have my costas up over my hat and off my ears. Bajio looks good, currently just been using Oakley Holbrooks

Been wearing Costa’s for years , and found the plastic lens starting to give me headaches and went glass and have had no problems since.

Nothing better than those 580 lenses in the Costas for seeing deep carp.

That said, I stopped buying those, Raybans and the Maui Jims...so many good options that are cheap

I wear costas everyday for work (fishing boat captain in San Diego) and never had an issue with them. The only time I’ve had issues with headaches is cheaper frames that were too tight for my head. I only use glass lenses now. It seemed like when I had plastic lenses and looked at them wrong it they would scratch.

Been thinking about this, I’ve noticed with cheaper pairs of sunglasses that there can be lens image aberrations. Maybe there is a higher chance that the plastic lenses can have some nearly imperceptible warp that your eyes would have to constantly adjust for. That could give you a headache. Just like people who need glasses but don’t wear them. In addition to the increased durability, maybe the process to grind a lens down from glass just makes a better lens.

I have had MJ and Costa. My costa glasses are better on the water. Most of mine I bought directly from Costa

I wear the rincognito most of the time and think they are very comfortable. Never get headaches from them. I got a pair of MJ and they gave me a headache every time I would wear them. I felt like they sat too far forward on my face and made it uncomfortable to look through.

I wear the Bloke daily and they give me a headache whenever I don't wear a hat. I think it's because the arms are too wide and they don't fit well, not necessarily a lens issue. Just a guess though. I have worn Costas for years and agree the quality isn't the same.
