Hardwood camo ok or do I need mountain camo?

Don't overthink it. Use what you got. Keep the sun out of your face and the wind in it and you'll do just fine.

I switched to SG solids years ago. Never once had an issue with getting into critters not having camo

You don't need camo.
If you are worried then pick a good wool flannel shirt and like brown or green quiet pants...both made out of materials that won't stink...and go hunt.

Called in so many elk not even wearing camo. Camo doesnt matter at all as much as people think it does. Just wear whatever you have/want.

If you have lighter non cotton hardwoods camo you will be fine.

Any cotton is a no go and much of the heavier brushed fleece whitetail stuff will be too warm, bulky and heavy to be ideal pursuits.

Any camo is fine as long as it helps obscure up your outline. But the perfect camo will make zero difference if they smell you or they catch you moving at the wrong time. The simple fact is that guys with no camo or mismatched old stuff kill tons of animals all the time.
