Looked around and didn't come across a thread about this specifically.
Just wondering if you guys are keeping an eye out while escouting for anything specific that'll give you an idea about food sources?
I seem to get a pretty clear idea about water, terrain, elevation etc when comparing escouting with boots on the ground. Just a little confused about what to look for in terms of food.
Are there any plants that get hammered at a certain elevation during a certain time of year? A plant that grows on certain facing slopes during October vs Sept that may entice elk out of cover?
Just wondering if I should be covering food during escouting as well as water
