Hand Priming

I have an older RCBS hand priming tool and it seems like it always leaves a small indent in the primer. Any one have this issue maybe I need to upgrade.

Are you using large primers with the small primer plunger in it? That's the only thing I can think of.

I'll check on that..I thought it only had one plunger it's about thirty years old

I've never had that issue with my RCBS hand primer but mine is less than 10 years old, not sure if its the same.

Well you were exactly right I had the wrong plunger in I've been away from reloading a few years got to relearn a few things thanks for the help

Now my question is do I use those dented ones it's mostly practice rounds or should I knock them out and put new in

Shoot them. I've done the same thing with the wrong plunger.

Shouldn't effect accuracy I would assume
