Hey everyone,

I posted something the other day that was very vague and haven’t really gotten anywhere with the numbers and people provided so I’ll actually put some effort into this post and make it more clear and informative.

I’m looking for an OTC, guided or high fence type cow elk hunt. Ideally muzzle loader, or rifle. I’m not totally opposed to archery just haven’t been practicing nearly as much as I’d like to feel ethical to shoot at any animal. I shoot my muzzle/rifles weekly so I’m a fair shot with those. I want to be driving distance from Las Vegas, so preferably in NV, AZ, Utah or NM is where im primarily looking. Im a young guy in good shape so I can hike.

Please let me know if anyone knows any guides (that take 1 person too) as idk anyone else that hunts. I’m trying to be somewhat budget conscious. Please and thank you for any recommendations.

I have hunted hogs at a high fenced farm. The fence was full of many different animals which was interesting to see. Its definitely killing not hunting. I dont have a problem with doing those personally as long as you dont try and fool yourself and think you are hunting. For the same money those places charge you can buy a tag and use an outfitter. I have done that also. A much better experience hands down. If you need referrals use an hunt broker. They get paid by the outfitters. If an outfitter doesn't hold up their end of the deal the broker cuts ties with them. The brokers will also ask you the right questions to pair you up with an outfitter that fits your style. As far as being by yourself you can pay a little extra to go 1 on 1. Or they will pair you up with another solo. Either way you will probably meet some good people. Good luck and have fun.

Keith Williams, sw big game brokerage has a bunch of them and is a straight shooter who runs a tight ship.
