I have hunted NR OTC archery Colorado for the past [emoji[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]][emoji[emoji[emoji6]][emoji[emoji6]]]

20 years. Now the Draw…….

Question is — Does applying as a group help your chances of getting drawn? An old timer says it will help. I am totally ignorant to the draw process and dont even know if this is an option.

Thanks in advance for your input.

I don't believe that applying as a group helps your chances and it may even hurt it if the state doesn't over allocate tags. For example if you're the last number drawn and there are two guys in your group and there is only one tag, some states will go to the next applicant and skip over yours.

Ya I’m seeing similar weird stuff

But NO - applying as a group does not help you. If you guys have different point levels you will go into the draw at whatever a point level is the lowest in that group.

I'm pretty sure it hurts your chances. If the group size is 4 and 3 of you have enough preference points to draw the tag but the 4th guy doesn't have enough points and does not draw the tag then none of you will be given the tag. Its all or none when applying as a group.....even if you have more than enough preference points to guarantee drawing if you put in individually.
