Grip stippling on rifle stocks

Man that looks great! With the finish on there, do you find it still has some slip to it, or can you tell there's a difference between that section and the smoother portion of the stock?

It’s pretty grippy. Not like hand cut checkering but it definitely works. I did the hammer and punch method.

For the epoxy grip you can also use saran wrap and wrap the grip then peel it off leaving a stipple to sand down and you have a good grip

Interesting, I've never heard of that method, or even thought to go that route... Looks awesome man

Brilliant! I imagine you could play with how you remove the saran, or even once it's off, bunch it up and almost "sponge" it to get the texture how you would want it?

Yeah you could also use a sea sponge and stipple it
