Getting a grill guard and looking at Ranch Hand brand. Any other made in US brands I should consider?

Grill guard or full bumper?

Peacemaker bumper had me intrigued. I think they make a few grill guards but specialize in full replacement bumpers. Also do steps and headache racks. My take is that a grill guard isn't going to stop a whole lot. But if you do a full bumper replacement your front end isn't as soft, meaning if you actually hit something hard that doesn't move your more likely to do substantial frame damage than to just tear the snot out of your bumper and crumple zone.

Luverne products are made in the USA. They make a heavy duty grill guard.

I'll check them out. Thanks.

Ditto on the Ranch Hand. Drove by the HQ on my way home from the ranch Saturday. From the only street light in Shiner, Tx you go north on 95, cross Boggy Creek and on the left is the Spoetzl Brewery and just past it on the right is Ranch Hand.

+1 on the Ranch Hand. About 2 week after having it installed, a wooden pallet tumbled off the truck in front of me while cruising down the road at about 65 mph. It bounced and I hit it square. The only result was a loud clang and a cloud of splinters.

I've had Ranch Hand bumpers (front and back) on several trucks. I like them on Ford and Chevy trucks. I only have/drive Toyota trucks now, I have ARB bumpers on those with winches and no complaints what so ever.

Another vote for ranch hand full bumper - deer, pigs, mesquite and at least one bad driver haven’t done much other than a few minor scratches in the powder coat.
