Greenland - Yes or No? Where are the "we need more public land" people?

Should the USA add Greenland to its public land/water portfolio?

Adding Greenland to the USA...Good or Bad for hunting and fisherman?

I constantly read how we need more public land to hunt and fish on from the conservation industry and public land enjoyers. Why have I not therefore read more support for adding 10s of MILLIONS of acres of land/water that would be publicly available to US citizens for hunting and fishing? If public land people really want to add more US public land, they need to speak up. The current administration is very conscious of public opinion. Public land advocates need to openly support such a proposal if they want it to happen.

It's a novel idea, very out of the box thinking. I think there needs to be a full explanation of what's to be gained/ lost by both sides. It's too early to say one way or another.

The idea is interesting. I'm not at all thinking they will be annexed into the US. Most likely, he's working on a trade deal of some type.

For caribou hunters, Greenland would provide an opportunity following the Biden administration's removal of millions of acres of AK public land hunting opportunities from the American public through subsistence ruling.
Cool. Get in on the ground level for Greenland bonus/preference points on muskox, caribou, king eider ducks, among others.
something like 25 million acres removed in units 23 and 26 and potentially more in the future with the changes to subsistence boards in AK

I don't think anyone is talking about invading or overtaking any modern day country. The ideas of Canada and Greenland are/were floated as national security pieces, however it would be something that both sides would need to agree upon and beneficial to both sides. I don't see it happening, however it's definitely got people talking. The T man is a master class troller and is one of the best at it.

Adding more public hunting land is a good thing, however that is so far down the list of importance it's not even on the radar for 99% of people.

Are you of the belief that Greenland is a sovereign nation?
