Great Hunt at Big River Camps in Newfoundland

Another member defending this outfit off a bad review written today that also just so happened to join today. Very weird? Just like the other new "positive" review written 2 hr after the bad review

the rock is so different on moose management i wont say as good as sweden but not that far ...
I get that, I honestly do. But the prior owner was only booking 7 hunts. One year later new owner books ~28?! The game population absolutely did not quadruple one year to the next. Maybe the prior owner could have justified booking more hunts, but odds are the quality of the experience would not have been the same.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I believe big River had 7 moose tags sold (hunters) last year (under old management). And under new management big River has over quadrupled that number in just one year. Obviously this comes with a lot of flaws with regards to things like finding experienced guides in such little time, the ability to check up on all the camps and make sure everything that is needed is available. Sure you may have had a bad experience and I feel for you there since you paying big money for these hunts. But maybe have some consideration and realize how stressful

Wow, this is a terrible attempt to defend the outfitter.

yes there is a difference between trophy hunting and meat hunting thus the issue coming soon on the moose population. we have outfitters here that tried to increase their quotas for some species and what was 3 years is now one year but divided by 3 ... but i can see the problem if the outfitter is willing to run on a long operation ... but for a 2 years run why not ...
