Great demonstration of easy load "development"

Here’s my own example I just did.

I’ve shot 156 Berger’s in this gun most of the season. But for the final hunt I wanted to test something new. So I loaded up five 144 LRHT’s about .010 off the lands, with 2gr. more powder than I was shooting with the 156’s.

I shot them one evening really quick after work, that way if they didn’t shoot, I didn’t waste a good morning. They shot really well, and had the same zero.

This morning, I went out early to true it at distance. 3 shots at 600 yards and 3 shots at 1000 yards is all I shot.

25 degrees colder, and 15fps slower on the average.

So in 11 shots, I have a new load, trued to 1000 yards. I didn’t test anything, except the bullet/powder combo. That’s pretty much all I do anymore. It pretty much shoots, or it doesn’t for me. I don’t do too much adjusting.
