Got $5k to spend on myself - what should I do?

Kinda in the same spot not as much but I’m getting a thermal to hunt coyotes at night. Been with a few times and it was a blast plus gives me something to do on the long dark winters.

I'd be after rangefinding binos in your shoes. Seems like you got everything else.

Like others say, pay for a hunt?

It's a windfall, I wouldn't spend it on a gun or hunt. Your "doing well financially" can end overnight or something else of likeness.

Invest it and use some of those earnings to buy the gun with later In a couple of years.

Each to their own though...

I would spend it on a freezer full of fish. That i could eat for over a year. I think this time I would be looking to fish tuna. I did the halibut, the sockeyes ,the silvers and walleyes.

Dude. You do NOT need a new rifle.

Your collection already has everything covered. But, it’s your money, if another gun turns your crank and the money s burning a hole in your pocket, have at it.

Other material things to consider.
Ebike
Bow
Spotting scope

Experiences
LO tag
Guided hunt (deer, antelope, pigs, whatever).

Based on your description on your financial situation I’d go for the experience. Maybe bring along a friend. (I can DM you the weeks I’m available if that would help! :))

To quote a local radio show "Liquor and whores". I wouldn't do that though.

I'd put it into some kind of hunt. Maybe a Midwest or Texas whitetail hunt?
