Hahaha the men’s roomTo quote a local radio show "Liquor and whores". I wouldn't do that though.
I'd put it into some kind of hunt. Maybe a Midwest or Texas whitetail hunt?
Thermal is a great idea…right now all my rifles have NF - most are NX8s but I have an ATACR and NXS in the mix. I don’t currently have a thermal. That’s a new thermal to me, but if that’s not your thing, maybe upgrade a scope or two.
I’ll have to think about this. I generally just do whatever hunts I want throughout the year. I go to AK every year for a moose hunt, will hunt multiple states for elk or deer when I draw a decent tag. I have been averaging 30-45 nights out hunting the last couple years. Its not really enough for a guided hunt, kind of a weird inbetween amount. What about buying a decent tag somewhere or funding a hunting trip you would otherwise not buy?
I have an awesome GSP right now that is machine and not sure the wife would go for another until he passes lol. He is a handful.Buy a hunting dog.
This is kind of where I am leaning, the wife is pushing me to do something with it. Nothing wrong with being patient until I figure it out.Toss it in the bank. When you figure out what you want, then buy it.
I like this. My wife and I have already helped a few local families out. She teaches first grade and we took care of christmas for a few families in the school - we spent maybe $4500 or so already, but I am not opposed to doing more, obviously.Donate some of it to some local kids that really need it this holiday season. Invest the rest then spend it when you have something really tugging at you.
Buying too many "wants" has left me with more things to store and maintain, not ideal.
I have two kids, one I just put through college and she is married, the other is on a church mission to brazil for two years and when he gets back will have his undergrad paid for by me (funds already locked down). After they graduate from college they are onEither invest for your children or do something charitable. Maybe put it towards a program that introduces kids to the outdoors who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity.
Lol - I saw some of the guided hunt recommendations and laughed. Maybe get me a hog hunt in texas or oklahoma I suppose, I dont think it would touch deer or elk. I could be wrong tho. It’s actually pretty funny that some of you guys think that $5000 pays for what you’re suggesting lol
I keep trying to like the Rokstok but no matter how functional it is, it is one of the ugliest stocks I have ever seenMaybe the S2H course?
Or a stainless steel Tikka with wooden RokStok, suppressor, and a nice scope?
I keep trying to like the Rokstok but no matter how functional it is, it is one of the ugliest stocks I have ever seen. Tikkas are great rifles and I have owned a few of them.
