Mechanix are perfect for "sweeping the house" with your favorite AR.

I got these gloves a while back and still going strong: Cowhide Work Gloves. The leather is extra thick, takes a while to break in but hard to beat for the price.

For that, I use some thinner leather gloves. Or Mechanix Impact.

I like the Plainsman gloves Sam's carries.

Plainsman gloves are tough to beat for the money

I work construction and am pretty hard on gloves. The best ones I have found have been the wells Lamont hydra Hyde uninsulated gloves. They are by far my favorite. I did get some at Costco and they are a bit different though. Thinner and didn’t last as long. The ones with some navy/blue are the ones I like. Pretty good dexterity and tough.
