Thank youI'd look at something like a Mathews Prima. I'd recommend a shorter brace height bow - women have smaller hands, wrists, etc and a 5.5" brace is the equivalent in my mind of 6.5" brace for a larger archer. It's like having a 1" longer draw in speeds.
Prima™
At a mere 3.93 pounds with a 30 inch axle-to-axle and a 5 1/2" inch brace height, the Prima is compact and provides women truly unmatched performance. It's Crosscentric cam produces a smooth draw and consistent accuracy while delivering massive downrange energy, delivering speeds up to 321 feet...www.mathewsinc.com
That said, new bows are about to come out in the next month and a half. I'd probably weight around for that. Either get a 24 bow for less or a new model 25 bow.
We just saw one listed locally all set up, we'll check it out, ThanksMy wife shoots a bowtech. It’s the first gen Eva Shockey one. She really likes it!
If you want her to really like it, let her choose. In my limited experience (with only one wife... but observing lots of them), I'd say wives have a tendency to like things that they pick out more than things that are picked out for them. YMMVTake her and let her shoot and decide for herself.
This right here. Let her decide. Let her shoot as many bows as she can and then let her pick one. Took me three trips to the shop last time for her to be sure what she wanted.Take her and let her shoot and decide for herself.
My wife bought it for target shooting. It has less than 50 rounds through it.I have a Hoyt Charger 24" 40-50 draw weight for sale. PM if interested.
