Good bow for my wife

My wife wants to get back into archery hunting, Me shooting trad for the last 30yrs know nothing about current compounds for women.
Any advice on a bow for 24-25" draw length and around 50lb's would be appreciated.

I'd look at something like a Mathews Prima. I'd recommend a shorter brace height bow - women have smaller hands, wrists, etc and a 5.5" brace is the equivalent in my mind of 6.5" brace for a larger archer. It's like having a 1" longer draw in speeds.

That said, new bows are about to come out in the next month and a half. I'd probably weight around for that. Either get a 24 bow for less or a new model 25 bow.

If you want her to really like it, let her choose. In my limited experience (with only one wife... but observing lots of them), I'd say wives have a tendency to like things that they pick out more than things that are picked out for them. YMMV

I’ll echo what others have said. Let her try as many different as possible. Honestly anymore any brand makes good bow. I wouldn’t discount anything you can get in her draw weight/buy limbs for.

This right here. Let her decide. Let her shoot as many bows as she can and then let her pick one. Took me three trips to the shop last time for her to be sure what she wanted.

Best women’s bow I’ve found is the Moxie Angel / Strothers Hope. My wife has has a lot of bows and it’s by far her favorite. Great cam, very efficient yet smooth drawing and the bow is lightweight which is a must IMO. My boys actually both shoot one as well.

My wife bought it for target shooting. It has less than 50 rounds through it.

Ideally have her shoot a few, find a bow shop with helpful techs that don’t think they are the smartest bow tech alive. A cocky know it all bow tech will not make it a good experience

My daughter has a prima and my wife has a nexus 2, both are excellent bows for ladies, but I like the prima more

My fiance shot an Elite Allure, Mathews Prima and Mathews image and finally a Lift 29.5. She's at 25" and they turned that bow down to 47 for her test shooting. She'll be pulling 55 in no time.

I'm not sure I would take the deal. I have a lot of good bows, so if I had a good wife I'd prolly keep her.

On the other hand, if I had a wife I wanted to unload, I think Mathews, Elite, and the old Strother and Parker made good bows.
