Killers of the flower moon - David Grann, book was much better then the movie, I was not a fan of the casting and the way several of the characters were portrayed
Yeah granpappy had spent time in Faxon and I had worked around Shidler, kaw lake area, on the Osage reservation, so I was interested.Agree 100%. read the book when it first came out and eagerly anticipated the movie. Didn't like it at all. My grandmother was born in Pawhuska in 1916 and grew up there while that was all happening.
I blew through the Gray Man series, but man, is over the top right. Greaney makes Brad Thor and Jack Carr look like frickin Emily Dickinson.I read a ton of books, 50+ a year.
Some recent books I have enjoyed
Rebel with a cause - Franklin Grahm
The Gray Man series by Mark Greaney - a little over the top, but non-stop action
Anything John Grisham, I have read every single book he has written and enjoy them all. Gary Moutan is one of my favorites, coal mining legal thriller.
That's Cormac...About half done with blood meridian and dam it’s tough for me to read.
Not sure if it’s the slang or what but just not sure I’m digging how it’s written.
I was looking forward to it.
AK-47 Story of a Gun - Is similar... First hand stories from those who carried it. Including a Sudanese child soldier. Very interesting.I can't put this book down. It's incredible to hear what these guys put up with and went through through their own words. He just released a second one that I will be picking up soon.
