GoHunt Price Increase

@wapitibob - Onx acquired and integrated TopRut, which they promptly ruined.....no?......GoHunt just increased their prices

Glad I use neither. (Perhaps there is an advantage to NOT being a member.....doing your own research, and avoiding the point creep and spot burning. Along with the tin foil hat gang that think data are used for acquiring hunting spots......)

Onx kept toprut for a cpl years then dropped it and replaced with their own version which is horrible.

Then Go Hunt doesn't have those states true odds either. They pull all their data from each individual states fish and game website. They don't have access to any more data than any state publishes online for the public.

Actually they do, as did Toprut.
True odds in states like NM, UT, and AZ can never be duplicated because those states don't release their draw code, but Gohunt gets kind of close by running their own draw on the database. Those databases aren't published online, and neither are the applicants random number(s). Simply re running the database thru a random generator will change individual odds.
States like WY are easy to calculate as their draw is straight forward.
Worth mentioning again, all these odds are for a draw that has already taken place, and last years odds have no bearing on this years future odds. Among other things, you need to know the number of people applying at each point level.
OR is the most transparent draw we have. ODFW posts every application and their random number.
