For truck camping idk why you'd use a backpacking pad.

I use a LOSTHORIZON self inflating 4.5" foam/air hybrid mattress from Amazon and it has been one of the best purchases in a long time. 100% as comfortable as a regular mattress. R Value of 13.

I use it on a cot, or in the back of my 4Runner or pickup bed, rocks everywhere.

This.

Size and weight don’t matter much, so think more in the category of spare guest mattresses. There are some handy folding mattresses that work great for short beds.

I bought my daughter and I Thermarest Mondokings in the largest size. Very warm and very comfortable.

I use one of these or I have the equivalent from I think Big Agnes, or maybe Exped. Either way, very comfortable and a high R value.
Mondoking is a really comfortable pad! I have a couple of the 80 x 30 ones and they are warm and huge. You can compress and roll them into a more compact shape but they take up a good bit of room even then.

The Mondoking is big when rolled up. When I wanted a second big pad so the wife and I each had one I got the Big Agnes Captain Comfort. Its almost 50% smaller rolled up and just as comfortable.
