Glock with Rmr "red dot" users. Advice

If I’m using a trijicon rmr 06 type 2 Is it necessary to have perfect co-witness on my front sight? I’m having an issue getting it perfect?

Once the dot is zeroed to point of impact, you don’t need the irons to cowitness exactly. They’re essentially just there to help you find the dot and give you an aiming option if the red dot fails.
Once you find the dot don’t worry about the irons. Dot on target and press the trigger.
