Currently going though some changes in mine:

SLC 10x42 or Nikon HG 8x30
Nikon ED50 13-40x
Aziak Tripod (New for 2024 season)
Tricer LP Panhead (New for 2024 season)

I don't see any foreseeable changes to the binos (unless Swaro decides to halve the prices of the NLs). Spotter is getting upgraded to either the ATS 65 25-50x or the new Kowa 66A at some point. I replaced my Slik Pro II with the Aziak (this thing is light - we'll see how sturdy it is going through the paces next year). And I recently got a Tricer panhead and am moving on from the Outdoorsman Micro Pan (mostly to try something new and see how an ultralight glassing setup is for sheep hunting primarily).

I think if elk hunting was my primary hunt, I'd be going with the ATC. Seems hard to beat for the size and weight.

When I want to save weight, a 42 mm monocular, and a kowa 50 mm spotter. 1 lb Aoka tripod, so light I have not bothered weighing.

NL 12x42
BTX85, substitute kowa 554 for certain hunts
RRS ascend with BH40 or slik 635 with tricer LP for certain hunts.

It’s too heavy but hard to get away from the BTX; it’s definitely found animals that changes the outcome of a hunt. The tripod is a heavy SOB too but I can shoot off it.

RRS TFCT-34L with Anvil-30 head and a RRS PT-Scout clipped into the Anvil to glass from

I'm extremely jealous of the EL Range binos. I desperately want someone to make alpha rangefinding binos in 10x50 instead of 10x42 because with my particular glasses I kind of need that.

I'll play.
12x42 NLs (outdoorsman stud and mount)
Kowa 884( or whatever one is angled)
Older manfrotto be free carbon tripod ( don't like this too much, what would y'all recommend for the 88 and binos?)
Va-5 panhead (like this a lot)

I'd like to see a 10x50 as well. The GPO are supposed to be really good, but I'm not super motivated to try them.

Why do you need a 50 for your glasses?

10x42 NL Pures w/ outdoorsman pistol grip. Standard tripod. Also use 15x56 SLCs on that.

Had been using a slik 833 with the 95 Atx or when I’m glassing closish to the road and it’s Gen 1 outdoormans pan head.

I just got the Gen 2 pans head and wow! I am very impressed, I am ordering another and selling the pistol grip.

I did get sucked into the tricer tripod and I haven’t used it much yet , and I am still really struggling with the opposite twist on the legs of the slik. But it seems ok… wish I would’ve just got another slik but I’ll give it a shot.

Only thing in my setup I wouldn’t change with out some serious convincing is the Pures and gen 2 panhead, both seem to be in a class of their own.

Current Setup:
Leica Geovid Pro 10x42
Swarovski ATX65
Outdoorsmans Micro Pan Gen 1
Slik 634

Seriously Considering:
NL 12x42
Leica 3500.com
Swarovski ATC (just purchased)
RRS Ascend Long w/ Anvil-30 & PT Scout

I also just purchased an MDT HNT26 - I'm planning to swap into the chassis and shoot off my buddies RRS setup to make sure I want to go that route...
