Getting back into archery after 20+ years

It's been a long time since I've shot a bow. After helping a few friends during elk archery here in Colorado I want to get back into it.

Plan on shooting a lot the next year. Getting ready for elk archery.

I shot a few bows at my store and got this Mathew's. I got what I could within my budget. Definitely room for upgrades down the road. It's been phenomenal to shoot.

Bows have absolutely changed in the last 20 years since I shot. This looks like something Predator would own


After 6 arrows I got it sighted in. The next 6 right on target.

Dang, jumping straight into archery Elk? That's bold of you haha. I'm just getting back into it again after about 12 years off, it feels good! I haven't purchased a new bow yet, still shooting my old Hoyt Rampage XT but I'll be picking something new up in the next couple months for sure.

I've been shooting 5 arrows a day, throughout the day, for the last couple of months now.

That first shot is the one that matters so taking one shot every few hours.

Shooting mostly 60/70 yds
