Came in to post the same, imagine being silly enough to pay $7k for ducks and geese. Lol sucker born every day I guess.

Could go to Canada and hunt for a month straight and kill way more birds for that price. I would rather pay to hunt ducks and geese than any big game my dog can’t bring them back to me. Hard to experience flooded timber up here in the plains.

I should clarify, my comment was targeted at a single trip expense like this one. I could see paying several grand for a seasonal lease or something.

OMG!! It's Sunday and I just saw this! Maybe someone will cancel?

Seriously, I don't care what someone else is willing to pay. Like any sale, if the buyer and
the seller are happy then it's a fair deal.

My only issue is how the leasing of private land takes more hunting opportunities
away from the non-wealthy general public. Seeing as how the wildlife is, I believe,
owned by the state it seems wrong somehow.

It's very strange... I listen to the podcast and it seems there is Steve Rinella, and then there is Meateater, Inc. The words and ideas that come out of Steve's mouth (unscripted) seem often at odds with what Meateater, Inc. is doing. I am not sure I would be content with living that kind of duality.

Yeah has to be a bit odd… he seems like a smart enough guy that he knows he is torpedoing what he proclaims to love, but I guess it’s full steam ahead? I’m sure his brother gets to him on some level… but he is probably too busy counting big piles of dollars to care

I would be more understanding if it wasn't Steve reading the ads. Like if it was just a commercial that played. But Steve himself pitching rent to own TVs and window air conditioners....come on man.

If I won the lottery it would be great to go on all these hunts.

Then anywhere that was accessible for the public, make you tube videos showing everything.
Then they would get some just deserts and show up to there spots ruined and full of other people.
