I'm maybe not quite as bad as some here, but I'm close. My only argument to my wife is that I bought almost all of it off Camofire, clearance sales, or used. My camo is good but certainly doesn't match. I have a bit of everything. I figured it up one time a while back and I think I had about 40% of Cabelas or Manufacturer's website's prices in it averaged out. I bought more items since but most are still at least 20% off.
I have a friend that got into the money argument with his wife. He took her by the arm and marched her over to his gun safe, opened it, and said "here is the last $20,000 that I spent on myself. Everything in here is worth at least 80% of what I paid for it, most are worth more, and several have increased in value." He took her by the arm and led her to the bedroom closet, opened it and pointed at her shoes, purses, and other stuff hanging above them. "Here is the last $20,000 you spent and what is this worth now?"
His wife actually took it better than expected, he is still married. Still buys some guns too!
