I'll see if I can get his name. I gave it to the owner of woods and meadows hunting preserve. in Warren, Wi. He knows the guy. He did the fox and pheasant mount, and the buck on the wall, above the fireplace.

They all look great. Drumming grouse is super cool. My local guy does great on deer, not the best for birds. Looking for other options.

His name is Doug Hopp, He lives in Sparta Wi. My nephew has, a grouse, three pheasant, a wood duck, a bear, a coyote and other mounts Doug did for him.

I don’t want to see this thread die so here is the wood duck mount I already posted, but I put it on a new base and detailed the feathers a little. I also have a flying drake canvasback that I’m going to put on a new base. I’ll post a pic when I get it done.

I’m very proud of that mount and the hunt. First black duck I ever killed and was a total fluke deal in NJ during the bomb cyclone.

They’re definitely cool little birds. And that’s a killer mount for sure!

Man my buddies give me hell but I’ll smoke a drake buffy every time. They are beautiful birds and not half bad table fare.
