Game bag Choice

I’ve always used Koola buck treated game bags, but I see a ton of untreated options. Is there a significant benefit to using treated bags, especially in warmer weather, or is it snake oil?

snake oil. any treated bag gets wet from blood or rain and degrades its impregnated solution strength.

I used the treated ones before but prefer the untreated ones. The underrated ones seemed to work just as good. They also don’t weigh as much.

Yeah the deer sized ones weigh over 2lb per 4 pack.

Citric acid? Magic? No clue but it’s supposed to prevent spoilage, I have two August archery hunts in northern Nevada so I’m trying to figure if they’re worth hauling around.
