Gaiters - looking for pointers

I was resistant to the idea of gaiters because of concerns about noise and limiting mobility. I finally got sick of wet boots and pant legs. My first and only pair has been the OR Crocs, and I wear them any time there is grass/plant dew or in snow. If not, they stay at the tent. After getting used to wearing them I cannot imagine going back to hunting without them (in the appropriate context). There are a lot of good brands I considered, but ended up on OR and don’t regret it. Good luck!

I've got a pair of REI gaiters that have held up pretty well here in rainy Oregon. I think I got them during one of their big sales and they were fairly inexpensive. That being said, I have had my eye on the T & K gaiters.

A vote for Kenetrek gaiters
Me too. I picked up a pair in a discontinued camo pattern last year from Midway for a whopping $20, and they've been great. IMO, that's the correct cost for a flat piece of fabric that wraps around your leg. 😁

I did not off the lace hook, as it kept coming undone and significantly wearing the boot lace when it was hooked. Either way, my boots and lower legs are clean and dry. They're also so light they're basically invisible when you have them on.
