G5 Outdoors T3 broadhead question.

Agreed Roy. Was hoping you'd chime in with your hooter shooter experience. With a human doing the shooting, getting them close enough to call it good is doable, and to the OP's point, the Montec is a good flying head and if you were as far off as you indicated at reasonable ranges, I'd say there is a lot of room for improvement. Then if you still decide to shoot a mech fine, but at least you know your gear is tuned and your arrows are flying as straight as possible.

So Roy, what's your experience with a T3? Ha, ha!

Another vote for BH tuning your bow. I've shot rage expandables and Ulmer edges. They both killed but I had a hard time being 100% confident in them. Pretty happy with my Slick Trick Magnums now and I never doubt them.

That is interesting, when I get home next week, I will definitely be taking my bow to the shop to get it tuned....I will give the Montecs another chance just to see if I can shoot relatively close groups...As it is right now though I am definitely leaning towards the T3s...I do believe in shot placement and I practice up to 70 yds and try to maintain less than 7-8 inch groups at that range...with that said, I will continue to practice and see how it goes....thanks for all the great advice...

i've had good luck with the t3s. plenty of 'pass throughs' on deer and bear but haven't killed an elk yet. i'd think they'd be fine
