Only morons would use strategic reserves to fix problems created by their other still existing policies....energy independence with a surplus becomes dipping into strategic reserves in less than a year by people who want to destroy this country.
I look forward to your response.

Just announced the 50 million barrels will be sour crude, which takes nat gas and is a lot more expensive to refine.
Pretty much this will do nothing to bring the price down.

For some, it’s as simple as high gas prices to get your attention. For others it’s the Biden’s corrupt family businesses. Still other’s it will be the pandemic/booster/mandate bs that will open the eyes.
Perhaps it waswill be the Rittenhouse case? Or the border insanity?
We haven’t even seen much of the soon to be dripping out of the Ghislane Maxwell court case that just got underway. And the Durham report has only released a few indictments so far. Many more to come.
Welcome to the Great Awakening fellow Americans. It has/had to be put in your face for most of you to understand where ‘they’ were taking us.

Politicians; Its not what they say...but watch what they do.

Everything Biden has done is to, 1) try to get more Democrat votes- whether he has to buy them or import them.
2) Drive up the cost of Oil and Gas so their green Initiative is more palatable.

Biden started a war against the oil companies with all of his rhetoric.
He shut down pipelines- with the US holding the bag on an $11 billion dollar lawsuit on the one pipeline by the Canadians.

He single handedly killed reinvestment in the oil industry.

He cut oil leases and stopped drilling in some areas.

He is trying to follow the broken California model with solar and wind- except Ca has a huge power problem with rolling brownouts. Ca has to buy power from adjoining states at night at up to 400% higher rates.THATS the broken model Biden is following.

He says we will be all electric in less than 10 years....though their Green initiative cannot supply enough power nor can the grid handle it. His plan; give thousands of dollars to the folks that can afford an expensive E car....and hopefully the power supply and grid with somehow fix itself. <Face Palm>

We haven't had a legit energy policy here in the US in my lifetime.

He just put sanctions on the Nord stream pipeline going to Europe- making them real happy with his meddling. Nat gas shot up $5 today.

The news is out on Releasing the SPR with Biden speaking today..........and Brent Crude was UP $3.27 a barrel today- this clown is clueless!

The BBB legislation includes Methane taxes- which is essentially a tricky way to tax us as business expenses in Corps are just passed on to consumers.

Step away from the soon to be Rittenhouse networks of MSNBC and CNN....to get the real story.

>
So in short you're saying Biden is an idiot? Bless those peoples hearts for voting for him. Maybe they'll wake up one day before it's too late!!!

I find it comical, that in any fuel price discussion, the first thing everyone points to is who is sitting in the Oval Office. When there is no direct correlation.

It’s simple economics… Supply and demand.

Covid shuts the county down in March 2020,everyone stays home, demand goes down, supply goes up price comes down.

Everything opens back up spring of 2021, everyone goes back to work and travel, demand goes up, supply goes down, prices go up.

Simple.

I drove for a living. There are more people on the road than there ever has been. Every gas station is packed, 7 days a week.

More people on the road than ever? Not a chance. More people working from home than ever, yes.

Look around and find how many jobs are now remote or at least partially remote. Traffic is maybe 60% of what it was. Maybe. It may be that the people that are required to drive for a living have to be on the road more than before, but not that more people are driving than ever.

From what I understand, the amount released from our emergency reserves is enough to last the country for only 3 days ! Let's Go Brandon!!

Oh, and we the taxpayers already bought this commodity with our hard earned tax dollars. Sheesh...

Actually, OPEC controls the supply. They can manipulate supply, regardless of the demand, to manipulate prices. This is common practice, common knowledge, and has been this way for decades. The baffoon in the oval orifice has pissed off OPEC and ground our domestic production to low levels, increasing our reliance on foreign sources, like OPEC. It has nothing to do with the scenario you presented.

The comical thing is you have no clue about what you are talking about, yet are quick to condescend somebody who brought up a valid point.

IIRC, the USA uses about 30 million barrels of oil a day so 50 million is like a gnat on an elephant's ass.
