2026 Weight Loss Thread

5/20 172.0 -38.8

Down less than a pound for the a week, even though I was at 171.2 on Saturday. Celebrated a victory a little too hard that night and maybe binged a little on Sunday. Also super sore from mondays and Tuesdays workouts, causing some inflammation. I’m back on track and expect to see 170 next week.

Weekly Sunday Weigh In.

5-16-26 - 211.9, down 1.7 from last week and 61.1 since 12/20/25.

Feel like I’m in a plateau right now…Just need to keep hammering thru. End goal is to be around 195.

Hey man, you are not in a plateau. You lost nearly two pounds in a week! As you get lower in overall BF% and closer to your goal, weight loss will slow down.

Don't lose sight of the big picture: You've lost 61lbs in 5 months. Most people wouldn't/couldn't do that in a year or a lifetime, for that matter!

Do yourself a favor: go look at some pictures of the old you to remind yourself how far you've come. Then keep doing the good work. You've got this.

Going to jump in on this thread. Got two elk hunts lined up for the fall so far. Picked up where I left off last fall. Had been doing limited workout and moderately good eating habits.

Going to 5-6 day a week workouts and strict carnivore. OMAD. On day four. Transition was a piece of cake. Really thinking about doing a 3-5 day fast to reboot in the near future. Want to drop about 30 lbs before hunts start the end of September. Going to be fun. Feel so much better on carnivore.

Day late to the party, but here is my weekly weigh in.
5/25/26 - 209.5
Down 2.4 pounds from last Sundays weigh in and 63.5 pounds since I started 12/20/25.

I do know I did not drink enough water this past week and feel sluggish and somewhat dehydrated. Need to do better on that!

Scale said that I was down 8 lbs in a week. Don't buy that, but would be happy with 3-4. Loving carnivore and OMAD. Had 2 eight oz bighorn sheep burgers for dinner on the charcoal grill with a tablespoon of butter on each and salt. Most excellent. At some point going to make sure that I get enough fat. Going to break out a package of back straps one of these days.

FYI, went to Sam's club over the weekend. Picked up a couple prime ribeye loins and a chuck roll. Been making a dent in the NY strips. Prime ribeyes were only a dollar higher than choice. I think Costco is the same. Going to let them age for a few weeks to a month in the fridge. Yummy. Will cut the chuck roll into steaks, maybe a few roast and grind the rest.

Got a non confinement pig coming this week. Last one was excellent. Should have more than enough meat to carnivore me to hunting season.

Picked up some Maple Hill whole milk Greek yogurt over the weekend. Debating whether I need the microbes or just let my wife eat it.

Should be able to make the 30 lb goal with time to spare.

Getting pretty close to goal and ready to eat again. Cant quite see abs but the uppers are starting to uncover. Not sure 5 more pounds is going to be all I need for that but it’ll be close. I’m 40 and have never had a 6 pack in my adult life. Cant go in public without someone asking how much weight I’ve lost, it’s getting annoying really.

Be nice if this was a "real number".
That is mostly water loss.
We spent 3.5 days out in 90 degree heat doing farm and building stuff. Next week's number should be a little higher.

Gained my hydrated weight back and a little more. Think it was some alcohol that did it. The weight loss always works better when saying no more often than not.

Check weight yesterday. Down another couple pounds in 5 days. Made me feel better about the 8 lbs from the prior week.

Stopped by the local meat market on the way to the farm for the weekend. Picked up a couple prime ribeyes. Had one tonight. Seriously, one of the best steaks I've ever had. Flavor and tender. I love carnivore. Grill to medium rare and salt to taste.
