FPS Variance In Groups

It depends what your goal is and what ranges you'll be shooting.

If you're 500 yards and under, an ES of 50 won't matter at all. That's plus or minus 25 fps, which equates to less than an inch difference (my rifle / load) at 500 yards.

At 1000 Yards, that grows to ~6" of vertical dispersion. And continues to go up from there.

Personally, I'm chasing ES in the teens for all my loads because I like tweaking for the "best" load possible.
Not trash talking but I'd think you'd be chasing a single digit SD with your setup.

ES in the teens would translate to single digit SD, so I am... Not going to be a problem with the 6.5 CM, the 300 WM doesn't want to cooperate as easily, but I just hit 2x fired brass, bumped back shoulders and am doing a "real" brass prep this round.

Some can say SD is more important, but ES still tells you the flyers, and you don't want one of those flyers when it counts, or you want to understand if that ES consistently comes from a cold bore shot.

I don't know why I read that and was thinking SD. I'm on board with you now. (moving a little slower this AM)
