Found in northwest Kansas in a washed out road.

Appears to be a vertebrae, but doesn’t have a hole. Its about 4-inches along its longest axis.

My guess is part of a rudist bivalve clam. Rudists made large reef structures about 100 million years ago.

Looks like a peice of vertebrae to me.

It looks like a worn vertebrae to me.

I believe this one is from a bison. We found several in a cut bank one day.
