Former CPW Director Davis to become WGF Deputy Director

Does anybody have any factual insight to this guy?
Obviously Colorado is a shit hole and they brought in wolves… Etc. But it was voter mandated? Very concerning to see anything from CO go to WY.

He was a Director or something in Washinton State before he went to Colorado

I’m really struggling how any of his values can align with the people of Wyoming’s. Knowing where’s he’s been and how those departments have been ran. Whoever in the Wyoming govt that thought this was a good idea needs to explain it us, as I’m really struggling with this.

Why are people so certain this person was a negative in co? Organizations are not homogeneous. Wouldn't the fact that he left wa and co suggest he had disagreements with what is occurring in those organizations. Just asking bc I do not know this person or what influence they had in co.

In Washington the director is essentially the king. He makes the rules.

We were lucky he left as soon as he did.

Good luck.

Wyoming boys used to enjoy teasing Americans about not being able to hunt their wilderness...now you'll have your hands full just keeping your heritage kinda intact. Prepare to see some serious liberal infection.

I mean, as long as he doesnt change the requirements for NR to use a guide in wilderness areas due to how dangerous WY back country is, what harm could he really do....

Be interesting to see what 2027 looks like in WY, and even 26, but I have a feeling his first year in he'll make sure to look like a good guy.

Hmm. I'd been planning on moving to WY for the last 5 years and was actually going to get to do so this year. This news makes me far less excited, unless he left WA and CO because their state govt both suck.
