On with the brotherhood of the traveling pants. Thanks to @sndmn11 for his generosity in shipping these to me.
The best comparison I had was to my Pyke Tongass pants. I wouldn’t call these overly similar, but close enough in terms of purpose.
For the record, I’m 6’ 200ish (currently @208 because of too much ice cream) with a 34-35” waist. My Tongass pants are a 36 with the inseam let out all the way to a 34”.

The Forloh BTM
The last two picture of the BTM are with a medium weight base layer on. Fit was fine, especially with the stretch material.
Facing fabric on the Forloh is heavier and more robust. The Pyke are lighter but not necessarily more comfortable
I would need a 34” inseam in the Forloh (these are 32”). They ride okay on my boots, but with steep climbing I think they would ride up and allow debris in my boots. Forloh really should add a boot hook and suspender loops/buttons. And trim the waist down. A 34” would be too snug for my preference.

I got these out for some real hunts finally, two days so far chasing August Black Bear in Washington.
Day 1 I accidentally ended up on the wrong side of a 10 year old clear cut that was predominantly soaking wet 6-8' tall Fireweed and Blackberry brambles, and decided it was the perfect time to put the BTM's to the test. I made it the entire way through without a poke, snag, or any wetness -- until the very end when I stepped into a stump hole full of blackberries and got two pulls on my side where I landed on the stretch material. My fault.
Day 2 we got drenched, and I hadn't waxed the pants yet. The reinforced cotton/nylon section definitely soaked through after about 3 hours, but only into the pockets, and I seemed to mostly walk them dry on the 2 miler back to the truck after the rain had stopped. Oddly enough I never felt wet inside the pants themselves, it really seemed like only the pockets soaked through.
Extremely impressed with these pants.

Can anyone comment on the quietness of the BTMs vs the kebs as far as stalking goes?

The BTMs are quiet to my ears. With the dot being more athletic there isn't a lot of extra material for me, and the crotch area is polyester. I'd wear them archery elk hunting with no issue.

No thigh swish for me at all, very quiet. Walked up on multiple Blacktail within 20 yards in Western WA.
Forgot to attach a pic of my pants after the great blackberry trek mentioned in my last post, here's how the looked after an hour of blackberry bramble.
Love em so far, already took my Corrugate Foundry and Kuiu Pro pants to Goodwill.

I'm several days into upland hunting in anything from dry to drizzly and soaking vegetation. These have been everything I can ask for in keeping my legs dry and pokey stuff out.

Post season review.
I absolutely beat the sh*t out of these pants in the WA jungles and hills this year. 10 days chasing bears in the Western WA jungle lowlands, 7 days elk hunting in one of the steepest and deepest units in Western WA, and our traditional 10 day North Cascades Alpine Snow & Sage Steppe hunt for mule deer.
In short form, I have since gotten rid of every other pant in my hunting pant arsenal except for my 70º+ pants. This is mostly because I am a big wanderer and hiker and in true heat, direct sun, while putting in the miles, these pants are simply too much for me with the double layer and the fact that I chose the dark green/black accent option. I am very surprised at how well the knee pads disappear while hiking, and don't make my knees sweat, like Kuiu's welded pads, First Lites foam pads, strap on pads, etc.
The literal only, singular, con that I have with these pants is my first pair had the button hole stitching start to fray after just a couple wears bear hunting. That said, I contacted Forloh customer service and told them I had t-minus a handful of days before leaving for the next hunt, and two days later a warranty pair was on my door step no questions asked. 20 days in the field with the replacement pair and no issue there as of now.
These even replaced my Fjallraven Kebs, as I personally don't get any use out of the lower vents, prefer the fit of the BTM Pro's through the crotch, prefer to buy USA made, and (meaningless) feel like the nylon panels are premium over poly.
I know a lot of folks on Rokslide don't like that Forloh has "blatantly copied" some other brands pieces, like in this particular instance, but these are just straight up killer pants, no question about it.

I saw some say they run big. Sizing chart says to order a 34 as im a 35" waist. Considering a 33.

Hard for me to say. The 36 was big in the waist on me. A 34 would be more appropriate waist size but be too snug in the legs for me.
I’d probably go 34.

Go figure as I just ordered a pair last week. Hopefully they get delivered today as I'm headed out on a pheasant trip tomorrow.
