For you guys running Foxpros. What sounds do you use

Great info, Keep it coming.
Im still new to the Predator hunting and it seems like it and trapping are a dying art around here at home. I just want to do it for something to do in the winter time months and get rid of some predators so our Deer and Turkey population isnt hit hard
A lot of folks like calling because it’s more active and you get to shoot, sometimes at long range which I think everyone enjoys. If predator control is what you’re after, trapping is 100% the way to go. You can have a lot more success in reducing the population with good consistent trap sets than with calling.

Coyotes learn from calling pretty quickly. That’s why most guys who have consistent success only call a property a few times a year. Eventually they’ll get smart and wait a really, really long time before they come in. After you’re long gone. With a trap, it’s always there waiting. So even if they don’t come in for 14 hours, it’s still there waiting for them.

On a suggestion, when they don't just come in on Baby Jack, I'm trying a call that is a blend of pup-distress and kinda the sound of an outsider adult male growling and hazing that pup.

If you know there's a den nearby with a good number to it, have another person with you to have another part of the FOV of your sit location covered for when they come in together. Here I'm referring to my sitch of sitting within in a rare nice opening within a sort of dense cluster of Junipers. So mostly thicker calling, that work great w/ shotgun.

I have used MFK sounds and I have never had luck with them anymore than the stock sounds. A lot of guys swear by the fight sounds like poundtown or table scraps but again, I’ve never called in a coyote with it.

I’ve killed more coyotes off just pup distress 3, Mrs mccottontail (non stock FP sound) and lightning jack. But honestly I’m of the mindset the sound doesn’t matter. Either the coyotes in the mood or not. As long as you’re mixing distress and coyote sounds, something will want to play eventually. Unless you say hunt the Midwest like me, then it’s like 1 call in every few hunts

I haven't had much luck with poundtown. I have had success with other MFK fights and distress sounds.

Sometimes I think the sound doesn't matter. But I've had a few times all of a sudden a hung up coyote comes running in on the 3rd rabbit or 5th fight.

Ok
When you say den with a high number are you referring to spring time coyotes? The spring of the year is the only time coyotes use dens for raising their pups.

Along the same context, you mention an outsider adult male. Most generally, only females are allowed around the den and are referred to as nursemaids. More than likely a one year old who didn't have a litter. So, was this a typo?

What is a sitch?

It's my understanding, that the addt'l layer of adult male growl being added into the track, kinda trying to make it sound like some adult male, likely from another den group, is harassing a pup in THIS Area... with intent to invoke protective instincts towards Your Areas dens new Seasons Pups.
