BIL had elevated heart rate and BP for a couple months following covid x2 times he had it.

My mother goes into pnemonia.

Wife and father were tired/ wore out

I had headaches. Had fever and chills for 1-day then headache, toothache, and recurring headache for a while.

We were with another family member who gave it to 7 of us. 5 vaxed and 2 non vaxed. No real diff between vax and boisted vs vaxed vs nonvaxed infection times, duration of symptoms, etc.

My BP is typically very low, so higher would only bring into the normal range. But, come to think of it, my BP was higher the last time it was checked and put in the 120-80 range. I believe it was 114-74 instead of the more typical 105-60.

I have not been vaccinated, but then, I live in a very low populated area, and have been exposed by grandkids/daughter. It's very likely I've had some strain of Covid a few times. One vaccinated daughter got Covid at Christmas from her vaccinated friend. With multiple exposures I and my wife recovered faster than my vaccinated daughters even though we are decades older. YMMV.

I had the original and xtra crispy versions.
First one was like a short Flu, sweats, chills, felt like crap for 2-3 days.
Second one was all about the Fatigue........for 3 weeks!!!
Dont think I had any BP or heart issues.
Not vaccinated BTW.

Never checked my blood pressure but never noticed my heartbeat increase. My symptoms came in this order, a lot over lapping too.

First few days
Fever
Headache
Body-aches

Next few days add on
Cough
Sore throat
Runny nose
Loss of taste n smell

A week in
Cough remained
Rash/hives

Took a month to fully regain taste n smell. But while I and the other 4 hunters all had the wuflu we were chasing pheasants in January in sodak. It was a little more miserable than usual but what else were we going to do??

I’m typically high 40s and today I’m averaging high 80s. My Garmin also told me i hit my heart rate goal last night trying to sleep.

I get pretty light headed every few minutes.

I get these awesome sweating spells and chills to the point I can’t stop my teeth from chattering. My favorite is when they happen together…

Every fiber of my being hurts down to my pinky toe & I can barely muster the strength to walk to the bathroom.

Fortunately my lungs are good 👍🏼

I was just curious if others experienced that as well.
Was diagnosed two weeks ago tomorrow and got over it by last Saturday.
Had many of your same symptoms, the chills, phlegm and headaches sucked.
Heart rate was screwy on day one and two. (I took half an aspirin to help address stroke issues.)

Hang in there!... it should improve over the next few days. But as we all know, it can really vary person to person.

I had it in January 2022. Normal flu like fever off and on for a few days. Cough lasted a solid month. Only lost taste for a few days. I was constantly freezing cold and could never get warm. No problems with HR or BP. I’m vaccinated and boosted. I don’t believe that it’s a vaccination however. More like a flu shot and that’s a crap shoot every year anyway. To me, a vaccination means you get it once and your good forever. Like the smallpox, polio, measles, and chicken pox.

Forgot to mention that my Uncle died from Covid. One of my employees had a brother and his best friend die from it as well. I know of a few others as well. All of them were older or Natives.

Hope you get better soon. Such an odd disease, many who test positive never have any symptoms and the majority have mild symptoms, but some people are debilitated or die by/from it. A hockey teammate had it over the holidays and it damaged his lungs so badly I don't think he will ever be able to play again. A guy I know of from another hunting website, big time AK sheep hunter, still cannot walk up a flight of stairs without getting winded a year later.

Sorry you are not feeling well, hopefully this will improve soon! From what I’ve seen working in healthcare, these symptoms are to be expected for 3-5 days based on your body’s immune response to the virus. If you get one week in and still feel that poorly with an elevated HR or BP, or if you notice chest pain, trouble breathing, dizziness or pass out, I’d suggest being evaluated. Rarely, the covid virus (like many other viruses) can cause inflammation of the heart muscle (myocarditis) or the lining around the heart (pericarditis). Both of these are serious complications and may require further medical attention

Hopefully you’ll feel better soon and won’t need this advice, but figured I’d share for all those reading this thread.

As for the vaccine - I know there are many strong feelings about it, and I won’t try to sway anyone on it. I do feel it’s worth mentioning that the primary goal of the Covid-19 vaccine is to limit serious illness that leads to being hospitalized or dying. With that in mind, it’s actually not very surprising that many people have stories of significant flu-like symptoms despite being vaccinated. I’d encourage you to measure ithe vaccine’s success based on how many people you know who had to be hospitalized or died despite being fully vaccinated, as that number is quite low in my experience.

"They" didn't do anything to their families. It was just their time.
Sorry not true. Friend had three children 5, 7 & 10. But she decided to skip the vaccine, she died. It wasn‘t her time, she made a decision and died because of it.

Husband and her made decent living. Now her family doesn’t have her income. Her children will grow up in poverty. The father will be a single parent. Children will not have a mother at the most critical time of their lives. Help with homework, life problems and growing up are gone. Sharing all the happy times at birthdays, high-schools sports, first boyfriend. Moments your mom is proud of you. Gone, never get to experience it.

Children where on a good path. Good future with positive outcome. Now? They have a troubled and uncertain future. She made a decision and ruined her children’s childhood and possibly their lives.

Why would someone do that to their family? For what?

So you know without a doubt the vaccine would have saved her life? Not even our doctors are as confident about that as you are. Sorry for that families loss. A lot of families out there in that same situation who were vaxxed and non vaxxed, it’s sad to here. Unfortunately we don’t know if any of those situations could have played out differently if they would have done this or that. But we should take away the fact that the best way to protect your self from these viruses is your Heath and wellness. Being the best version of yourself in every way so your friends and family don’t have to go through what millions of others had to.

Your chances of dying from covid with or without the vaccine are almost zero. Especially if you aren't old and fat. You say her death could have been avoided. I assume you hunt. What if you die hunting or driving to go hunting? Are you a selfish horrible person? You don't need to hunt. What if you die riding a motorcycle? You could make the same argument about anything. You should respect this person. She has principles. She didn't believe the media, government and big pharma propaganda. Instead she made an informed decision and just so happened to be one of the rare people who died.

My girlfriend and I got it at a Christmas party. She had the vaccine (not sure which) and I did not. She was much sicker than I was and for a longer period of time. Others who were at the gathering (all vaccinated) also reported much stronger symptoms than I experienced.

Oddly, I still can't hardly smell much but she can just fine.

I don't believe either of us noticed an elevated heart rate or blood pressure, but we didn't go to a doctor to be checked out either.

Not that many people have had the vaccine in my area, but as someone noted unless you have comorbidities like obesity or extreme healthy issues, people seem to recover.

It seems to me that there was a lot of hype early on due to who was President. Last time I checked, the same number of people died under the next President, and we hear nothing about it. It seems the reality is that there was/is a problem with the counting.

Meanwhile, there is still not enough focus on treatment. I'm sure the vaccine helps someone, but I have limited experience with it. My 30 something vaccinated daughters seem to get as sick as I do whenever the variant comes through. YMMV.

Ya, and millions have chosen to refuse the experimental shots and have gotten covid and have not died. My mom got her second dose of Pfizer, and went to the hospital 4 days later with breathing problems. She died. Why on earth would someone do that to her family? Give the government scripted narrative a rest.

I can only assume that I just had Covid a 4th time. My wife's mom and sister were visiting and apparently they weren't feeling well when they got here. I picked up a sore throat and fatigue for 7 days. After they got back home, they tested positive. I also know at least three others that have gotten sick in the last two weeks and tested positive. Each time I've gotten it, the symptoms have been less and less. But the loss of taste and smell has been a wildcard for me since Dec 2020. It comes and goes, sometimes even between bites. It also changes smells and tastes for certain foods. Like grape juice smells and tastes like burnt rubber at times. My daughter says that meat tastes disgusting at times. I'd rather have no taste than that one, because not eating meat isn't an option.
