I've been reading alot of conflicting info...

As long as your total arrow weight is right where you want it, do you pretty much want the highest FOC possible?

Is there anything bad about having a really high FOC between 17%-20% as long as your total weight is reasonable?

The setup I'm playing with putting together would have the arrows come out to about 464g with an FOC of about 18.1% using the GoldTip calculator.. I can easily get less FOC, just want to know if there is any reason to

Like anything, In FOC there is a law of diminishing returns. At 18% you won't see that. It'll be a killer setup.

My current setup is a 475 grain GT with 17.2% FOC. Super forgiving and accurate.

Spine is much more important, and I wouldn't compromise that for more FOC. IMO FOC may be helpful, but the benefits are overstated and I believe some guys give up other, more important aspects of their arrow to get it.

I'm actually right in between spines on all the charts I've looked at.. I figure if I go with the stiffer spine then load up the front it should be perfect??

Just be mindful not to give up too much shaft wall thickness/durability to get FOC. IMO that is a mistake a lot of guys are making in the search for high FOC - getting it through low gpi/thin-walled but stiff-for-weight shafts. They theoretically get an arrow that should provide a little bit more penetration, but end up with one that may get a lot less penetration on marginal hits if the arrow breaks before it gets through the goodies.
