I love tinkering, so if you have the resources to do it, I don't see why you shouldn't tinker around with some variations of FOC. Get a little crazy, get "FOCKED" up like Snyder says, see what might work better.
One of the reasons I enjoy shooting guns so much is because of how much you can tinker with different rounds, and different loads. There are endless opportunities to maximize your weapon, and it's FUN. FOC, arrow weight, fletchings are all ways to tinker like you can with rifle rounds.
