Road tripping from WA down to Palm Springs to drop my fiancée off for a med school rotation and going to be passing through Utah on the way down. Going to hit Zion and Bryce Canyon and I’m hoping to get some fly fishing in somewhere along the way. Been doing some research and it looks like the Seviere River is good, just wondering if anybody has any suggestions in or around the parks? We'll probably try to stop between SLC and Zion to camp for an evening too if anyone has a good area in mind, plan on just using OnX and finding a chunk of ground to throw a tent on. Thanks in advance!

If you can swing a guide, Quiet Fly Fisher in Loa is awesome. He took us for my wife's first time fly fishing and we had a blast. Great fishing and some beautiful country. Lots of places to camp around too. It's a little farther north from Bryce, but not super out of the way if you come down through there. Way prettier drive than the 15 the whole way.

Awesome, thanks for the recommendation, I’ll definitely look into it. We’re not on a super tight schedule so a more scenic route would be great

I sent this in a PM but not sure if you can get them quite yet...so here it is.

Hey I am not much of a fisherman...I only went with my father in law to fish. I prefer hunting or trapping but he was addicted to it. He passed this last week unfortunately, leaving me wishing I had gone fishing more. He was on the board for the Utah Blue Ribbon fisheries, representing Southern Utah, a couple years ago. Check out this map.https://dwrapps.utah.gov/fishing/fStart?TY=Blue Ribbon I was going to tell you to try the Sevier River but I think the flows are quite high. We still have a ton of snow on the mountain. My father in law was building a cabin at Panguitch Lake and he's been fishing it consistently the last few weeks and doing well. He prefered fishing lakes with his boat and a fly rod. Good luck to you.

A couple other lakes local to where we live are Yankee Meadows, Red Creek Reservoir, Navajo Lake and Duck Creek. I've fished all of those with him. Boulder Mountain also has a whole bunch of lakes but I'm sure you'll be fighting access with all the snow this year.

If you're looking for a place to camp between SLC and Zion Minersville reservoir may be a good option and fishing can be pretty good as well. There are lots of places to camp and fish if you got off I-15 at Beaver and headed east over the Tusher mountains on 153. Otter Creek would be a good option also. The outlet of the dam is a good spot too.

Got the PM thank you.

This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you guys, much appreciated!
