Fly fishing outfitter recommendations near Yellowstone

Can anyone recommend a fly fishing outfitter around Island Park, Idaho or in the Yellowstone region? I have managed to find a couple but they were crazy expensive. There has to be some less expensive trips available.

Miles is an awesome dude. Former Army Ranger. I’ve done Yellowstone DIY 6-7 times and Miles was a ton of help. Wouldn’t hesitate to use him for a guided trip.

Yeah, anything remotely close to Yellowstone in the summer is going to be expensive, if you go in to the park add another zero to the end of the price. That said the whole Teton Valley area of Idaho has great fishing so don’t get obsessed with having to fish in or close to the park.

Recommend calling The River's Edge in Bozeman and asking them for a few options.

Check out Swan Valley, ID too. Might be cheaper than Yellowstone but the Snake River runs through the valley, plus a huge reservoir.

We’re all pretty much in the same ballpark as far as pricing goes. There’s a few outfits that do half day trips in West Yellowstone and a few more in Big Sky. One thing that can save a bit of money if you go out of West Yellowstone is to meet at the river so you don’t have to pay the 4% resort tax.
